Day 16 of 31 Days of Halloween

Quick Postcard - kind of spooky

Another postcard for my daughter.

See what makes it spooky?  I did stamp some skulls in the background with white.
I have few collections, but I do collect OWL rubber stamps!!!  This one is from Cherry Pie Art Stamps - it's perfect for this postcard.  Add some stars and skulls, good to go.  Don't forget the honeycomb.

(no idea where I got that pencil stamp! I just remember it was my first of many unmounted rubber stamps that I bought)

Day 14 of 31 Days of Halloween

Bat Boy Card

Ok - so the creations for Halloween stash has run out!  This is a card I made THIS am (hence the colors being off a little in the photo, umm.. and the stamping).  But here he is in all his glory - TheBatBoy, or as my very particular son calls this image "a boy who is dressed as a bat."  He would know - a few years ago he had me create this costume for him for Trick or Treat.  He was a very cute Stamp Image #5737!

I found a great stack of a papers I love from Mind's Eye.  It's fun when you have stack of papers that go together it opens up so many laying possibilities without thinking - perfect for a Wicked Blogger working with limited time. I stamped the Bat Boy and colored in parts of him with marker and then with watercolor.  Then I stamped some green stars about and the sentiment.  I was looking for "trick or treat" but could not find it, so I went with Love who you are -which I very much like with this image since it makes me think of my goofy son.

Ok coffee and blog post are done for the 14th Day so I gotta run.  But I will back to hop around a bit and enjoy all the comments everyone leaves.  Such a treat to have so many visitors!  Happy Wednesday!

Day 13 of 31 Days of Halloween

Day 13!  Still can't say we're half way there yet… keep on hopping and blogging Wicked Bloggers!!!

Book 'Em

Spooky was up to no good yesterday, so he got booked!
I was going to make a card but it tuned into a bookmark.  Had to use Spooky (the other stamps are from Cherry Pie Art Stamps - I AM IN LOVE WITH HER SHOP!).

Simple bookmark action.  Cut 3 rectangles on white paper and stamp SPOOKING IN A NIGHTSHIRT, Skull, and KISS - and the word read.  I used my fingertip a bit with orange ink on the rectangles but then I sprayed it with green and it was almost all lost.  Glue a trimmed black piece of card stock onto a trimmed orange piece and then glue on the rectangles.
Be sure to follow along gotta hop all 31 days of Halloween!!!
(follow the blog roll to the right on to Dee Dee- her creations are super sweet!)

Day 12 of 31 Days of Halloween

It's a Monday, and it's day 12 of the 31 Days of Halloween.  I'm still enjoying busting out creations that are shareable for this wicked blog hopping thing.

SkullBat ATC

Introducing the flying SkullBat… This little ATC kind of put itself together - I guess if you leave a mess of stamps around sometimes things can get CRAZY!  (Kidding, not kidding).

This spooky ATC was created by stamping some stars with orange on white paper and misting them.  Then I had another piece of that botany book on the table so I smeared some green ink onto it and glued it to the bottom half of the ATC.  I did that black gelato thing around the edge and added the black screen stamp to make a frame.  I used the small skull + the big bat.  I painted the bat with watercolors before I glued the skull on top.  Then I stuck it onto the ATC and then the SkullBat flew off my craft table!  (It was too big of a mess).
Thanks again for stopping by.  Your comments are indeed keeping me going on this challenge!
Be sure to visit the other Wicked Bloggers… Happy Hopping!

Day 11 of 31 Days of Halloween

It's still the weekend, so I still have high hopes of finding sometime to get ahead on some of this Halloween posting…  This year I decided to take on the challenge of being a Wicked Blogger - which means I need to have a stamped project to share EACH day in October.  I'm not the only one doing this - you can see the blog roll for all the Wicked Bloggers on the right.  Smeared Ink is hosting this hop, make sure you check out that blog to find out how you can win some wicked prizes!

Dead Weight

I week or so ago I drew some circles and stamped this skull in them and painted them a rainbow of colors.  I was not sure what I was going to do with them, bookmark, art journal page… then as I was "cleaning" (moving things from one pile of my craft table onto another pile on another table) I found these glass pebbles.  And they fit the rainbow of skulls...

This was a very easy project.  I just stamped the skull with permanent ink then painted it with watercolors.  I also painted the skull a little bit, but not too much so it would not cover the ink.  Then I cut the circle out to fit the pebble then painted the flat side of the pebble with rubber cement then stuck the skull on.
I wish the pebbles were a little bit bigger so I could add a sentiment or something with the skull, but these work.  Maybe I even have a strong enough magnet hanging around in one of my craft room piles.  But until I find magnets, they are just paper weights.

Day 10 of 31 Days of Halloween

Happy Saturday.  I hope you've been enjoying the marvelous hop. So many great spooky stampy creations.  Hope you have sometime to hop along with the Wicked Bloggers - you can find the blog roll on the right.

Some Creepy Leafies

I was walking my kids to the bus stop and happen to pass by some beautifully stampable leaves and collected them.  Then I ran off to my craft room and started stamping (then got a call from the school saying my daughter left her homework at school!).  So I quickly ran to the school and then back to the craft room….
All of my spooky stamps are all over my desk so it didn't even take too much hunting time!
I used whatever creepy stamping I could find and Archival black ink.
I stamped them up, waited for the wind to die down and put them back on the path my kids take to get to the bus.  Then did find them as a surprise so that was kind of fun!

Stamps Used:  Poe, Skull, Owl, Bird Legs, Skeleton, SPOOKING IN A NIGHTSHIRT, a bat, graves and random words.
HOOT HOOT!!!

SPOOKING IN A NIGHTSHIRT says hop along to the next blog!!!
