Day 11 of 31 Days of Halloween

It's still the weekend, so I still have high hopes of finding sometime to get ahead on some of this Halloween posting…  This year I decided to take on the challenge of being a Wicked Blogger - which means I need to have a stamped project to share EACH day in October.  I'm not the only one doing this - you can see the blog roll for all the Wicked Bloggers on the right.  Smeared Ink is hosting this hop, make sure you check out that blog to find out how you can win some wicked prizes!

Dead Weight

I week or so ago I drew some circles and stamped this skull in them and painted them a rainbow of colors.  I was not sure what I was going to do with them, bookmark, art journal page… then as I was "cleaning" (moving things from one pile of my craft table onto another pile on another table) I found these glass pebbles.  And they fit the rainbow of skulls...

This was a very easy project.  I just stamped the skull with permanent ink then painted it with watercolors.  I also painted the skull a little bit, but not too much so it would not cover the ink.  Then I cut the circle out to fit the pebble then painted the flat side of the pebble with rubber cement then stuck the skull on.
I wish the pebbles were a little bit bigger so I could add a sentiment or something with the skull, but these work.  Maybe I even have a strong enough magnet hanging around in one of my craft room piles.  But until I find magnets, they are just paper weights.

Now I wish I had not put my glass pebbles in the shed! This is awesome. I love your offering today. Happy Day 11

I love you calling them dead weight. Isn't it so cool when you move something and find something else so perfect for a project? I like the magnet idea too. Or make them into drawer knobs or weights on the bottom of a wind chime. Nicely done.

Great idea.
Frig' magnets would be good but just sprinkling them around on cabinets or pieces of furniture would be a fun decoration.
thanks for sharing.
